Galen Hooks is an LA native who has been in the entertainment industry since she was 7 years old. She is a chameleon who defies genre and can seamlessly shift between roles both in front of and behind the camera.
2017 saw a meteoric rise in Galen’s reach- she is a beacon of strength, power, sensuality and class for women, and is synonymous with risk taking as an artist. Around the world, dancers and non-dancers alike are impacted by Galen.
Galen is both an industry darling (a veteran icon of the dance industry with over 20 years experience) and a viral sensation (videos averaging 3 million views each time); her popularity comes with clout.
Whether she is choreographing, performing, directing, or producing, she has an eye for detail and storytelling that she breathes into every project.
At 7 years old, her dance group was the Junior Dance Champion on Star Search. As a child, she worked on shows such as Full House, modeled for Mervyn’s, and performed in an opera with Placido Domingo. As a teen, she assisted choreographer Marguerite Derricks for movies such as Donnie Darko and shows such as That 70’s Show.
